QR Quick-Link: Generating Your Menu QR Code

What you’ll need

• Active Digital Menu subscription
• Permission: Manage online menu
• Access to the TaoRocket Console

1. Open Your Online Menu List

• Navigate to the Online Menu section in the console.
• Locate the menu for which you want to generate a QR code.

2. Generate the QR Code

• Click the QR Code button next to the menu.
• The QR code dialog will appear, showing the standard QR code linked to your digital menu URL.

3. Download and Share the QR Code

• Use the Download option to save the QR code image for printing or digital sharing.
• Place the QR code in strategic locations like tables, entrance doors, or marketing materials.

4. Copy Menu URL with Special Modes

• When copying the digital menu URL, you can choose between three modes:
• Standard URL — plain link for general use.
• Google Maps Mode — tracks how many times the menu is opened from Google Maps.
• Totem Mode — disables opening tracking and hides social media buttons, ideal for kiosk or display screens.

5. Tips for Effective QR Code Use

• Ensure the QR code is large enough and placed where customers can easily scan.
• Update the QR code only if the menu’s unique name (URL slug) is changed from the Menu Settings tab.
