Example URL:https://menu.taorocket.com/your-unique-name

2. How to Choose Your Unique Name

  • Go to the Menu Settings tab in the console.
  • Find the Unique Name box.
  • Choose a name that:
    • Is 3 to 40 characters long.
    • Uses only lowercase letters (a–z), numbers (0–9), and hyphens (-).
    • Starts and ends with a letter or number (not a hyphen).

Examples of good names:

  • maosdumpling
  • sunny-cafe
  • blue42
Examples of names to avoid:
  • MyRestaurant (contains uppercase letters)
  • best cafe (contains spaces)
  • -newmenu- (starts and ends with a hyphen)
  • menu@2025 (contains special characters)

  • If the name is already taken or uses invalid characters, you will see a message.
  • Keep trying different names until you find one that works.

  • Your menu’s web address will change immediately after saving.
  • Make sure to update any printed materials or shared links with the new address.
  • Your menu’s QR code will automatically update to use the new URL.

5. Tips for a Great Menu URL

  • Keep it short and easy to remember.
  • Use your business or brand name if possible.
  • Avoid spaces, uppercase letters, or special symbols.
  • Make sure it’s easy to say and spell.
