1. Understanding Roles and Permissions

Roles group permissions that define what users can access and modify in TaoRocket.
Assigning the right role to each user helps maintain security and clear responsibilities.


2. Creating and Editing Roles

  1. Navigate to Access Rights under Employee Management.
  2. Click New Role to create a new role or select an existing role to edit.
  3. Enter a clear name for the role (e.g., “Inventory Manager,” “Cashier”).
  4. Toggle permissions on or off to grant or restrict access to various system features.
  5. Save your changes.

3. Assigning Roles to Users

  • Assign roles during user invitation or edit existing users to change their role.
  • A user’s access rights are determined solely by their assigned role.

  • Create roles that reflect actual job responsibilities to avoid unnecessary permissions.
