1. Understanding Production Orders
- Production orders track inventory transformations via assembly (combining components into a finished product) or disassembly (breaking down an item into components).
- Example of assembly: making a pizza from dough, tomato sauce, and toppings.
- Example of disassembly: breaking down a pellet of 150 bottles into 150 individual bottles.
- This process keeps inventory accurate by deducting components and updating finished product quantities accordingly.
2. Creating a Production Order
- Go to Inventory → Production Orders.
- Click New Production to open the order form.
3. Filling Out the Production Order Form
- Store: Select the location where production or disassembly happens.
- Expected on: if the date you expect to produce the items differ from today.
- Items: Add the item to produce or disassemble and specify quantity.
- The system will calculate component deductions or additions based on item configuration.
4. Managing Components and Stock
- For assembly, component stocks are reduced as finished product quantities increase.
- For disassembly, the finished product quantity decreases as component stocks increase.
- Adjust quantities in the production order as needed.
5. Finalizing the Production
- Click Create to complete the production order.
- Optionally save as draft to finish later.
- Inventory counts and costs update automatically upon completion.
6. Produce your items

- Confirm each line’s produced quantity.
- Save to update items into inventory.
7. Best Practices and Tips
- Ensure all components and finished products are correctly set up (Add New Items: Stock Your Shelves).
